Welcome to Cold Water Surf Shop's website. We're located in Astoria,  Oregon and we are the city's first and only surf shop.
Cold Water Surf is owned and operated by Mark "Finger" Taylor and you can read how he got his nickname on this website, as published in "Surfing's Greatest Misadventures-Dropping in on the Unexpected". After all, you can't pick your nicknames, they're assigned.
We opened the shop in May of 2006 and our goal is to stock quality surfing merchandise and accessories while maintaining a friendly atmosphere in the shop.

Spring 2008
Winter is finally over and a pretty bad one for waves, at that. Spring is here, so the weather is turning and the swell has been working! We've got some used boards in and new ones are ordered and on the way. So get a certain part of your anatomy off the couch and get out there and "push some water". We're adding new items to the shop everyday so swing by and check em out! If you're interested in a custom board, give us a call. We can discuss your needs, wants and expectations for a new stick!!!!
