Welcome to Cold Water Surf Shop's website. We're located in Astoria,  Oregon and we are the city's first and only surf shop.
Cold Water Surf is owned and operated by Mark "Finger" Taylor and you can read how he got his nickname on this website, as published in "Surfing's Greatest Misadventures-Dropping in on the Unexpected". After all, you can't pick your nicknames, they're assigned.
We opened the shop in May of 2006 and our goal is to stock quality surfing merchandise and accessories while maintaining a friendly atmosphere in the shop.

SPRING/SUMMER 2009
It's been a pretty sketchy Spring season so far for waves (with all the wind swell=mushy conditions), but windows do open up and you've got to be ready to get on it. We've been surfing surfing some, trying staying in "paddle" shape when the waves do decide to show. The shop has started to carry skateboards (not just longboards), trucks and wheels now, so come on in and build your own. We've got some used surfboards in and new ones are ordered and on the way. So get a certain part of your anatomy off the couch and get out there and "push some water". We're adding new items to the shop everyday so swing by and check em out! If you're interested in a custom board, give us a call. We can discuss your needs, wants and expectations for a new stick!!!!
